Roads and vehicles are often confused, yet infrastructure predates cars by centuries. From Roman roads to highways, roads have constantly evolved. Today, we enter the 5th generation: the Forever Open Road, designed to integrate advanced technologies. A key innovation is the electric road, enabling vehicles to recharge while driving. France is testing three options — overhead lines, embedded rails, and induction — to determine the most viable solution for nationwide deployment.
